is taking its place and it wil be but a
short time until the town may be

Four Runs Enough to Win the Victory In
the Seven Inning TwiliBht Game,
Geary, the barber, furnished the
amusement, D. A. Boozer furnished a
good base hit, and eeveral of the
o'her benedicts furnished the four
runs that defeated the Single Men in a
twilight game on Grange Park Tues.
day evening. It wasn’t supposed that
the old timers could touch the spit
ball or see through the schemes that
make up present day baseball, tut
they pulled one over on the boys when
they dowped them 4 to 3 Of course,
the marriet men's team was not coms-
posed entirely of old et re, three or
four having joined the ranks of the
benedicts within the past few years,
but there was enough of the good
solid hitting to smack of old timee.

drive when it is needed but finds that
his nether limbs refuse to move
rapidly as they did twenty-five years
ago, and that's why Btump for the
Singles got a two-bagger instead of
nothing when he hit one In Boozar's
territory in centre.
The singles opened with a run in
the first and the Married Men evened
t up in the second. Ia the third and
fourth the benedicts scored the re-
mainder of their ruvs and held the
Biogle Men to a 4 to 1 score until the
last two inpings of play, when they
scored twice.
