Mr. and Mrs, Thomas Fleisher, of
Colyer, expect to go to Tyrone for a
prolonged visit,
Mrs. William Ertle, of Coburn, was
taken to the Bellefonte hoapital last
week. She is a sister of Daniel Daup,
of Centre Hall.
W. K. Foster, representing Wana-
maker & Brown and Victor's Ladies’
Department, was in town on Wednes-
day making calls on customers in his
line of trade.
Andrew H. Kreamer, of Altoona,
has been a sufferer from a mammoth
carbuncle on his neck. His condition
became 80 alarming that jast week he
was removed to a hospital for treat-
ment,
Edward J, Williams, of Port Ma-
tilda, formerly county commessioners’
clerk, was in town on Wednesday.
He is representing the Williams Con-
tractors’ Eupply Company, at Colum-
bug, Ohio.
William Beezer, a Bellefonte police
man, and R. B, Montgomery, a South
ward assessor, were stricken with
smallpox during the past week.
Beezer is the policeman who took
Harry Irvin to the lockup some time

Millheim is interesting the ladies in
a movement for a town hall, a very
much needed Institution in that
borough. It is intention to hold
fairs, etc., and in this way secure the
necessary funds, This leads the Re-
porter to say that Grange Arcadia, in
Centre Hall, is not nearly as much
appreciated as it should be, but to-
pight (Thursday) an opportunity
will be given evary one to aid a trifle
in helping Progress Grange to meet its
obligations by attending the local
talent play to be given there, If you
¢wnnot spend the evening away from
your home or business, send the

admissions, It is time to begin to
appreciate more fully the institutions
we do have, as well as to reach out for

The House passed finally the resolu-
tion making application to Congress
for an amendment of the Constitution
to prohibit polygamy and to repeal
the act of 1911 requiring return of
traction engines for assessment for
taxation,

township road law; appropriating
$850,000 to pay bonus on roads ; 1equir-
