    A ROMANCE

SYNOPSIS.
Coast, a young man of New
meets Douglas Blackstock, who
invites him to a card party. He accepts,
although he dislikes Blackstock, the rea
son being that both ure In love with Kath
srine Thaxter. Coast falls to convince her
that Blackstock Is unworthy of
friendship. At the party Coast meets two
aamed Dundas and Van Tuyl Theres in
a quarrel, and Biackstock shoots Van
Muy! dead. Coast struggles to what the
wenpon from him, thus the poli dis
cover them. Coast is arrested for murder.
He is convicted, but as he begins his sen
tence, Dundas names Blackstock as the
murderer and kills himself. Coast be-
comes free, but Blackstock has married
