The poultry exhibit at the Grange
Eocstnpment and fair promises to be
one of the leading features. There
will be many pens of fine birds.
Miss Rath Lytle, one of the Com-
mercial exchange operators at BState
College, was the guest of Miss Berths
McCormick, in Centre Hall, over
Bunday.
On her return from a visit to Aurors,
Illinois, Mrs. Peter Confer, of MHl-
heim, brought with her Mrs. Kate
Hamilton, who will visit among
friends in lower Penns Valley.
Miss Cora Brown of Potters Mills re-
turned home last week after visiting
for more than a month in Ohio,
among the places visited being Belle
vue, Wellington and Yomugstown.
Senator Chambers O. Templeton
has withdrawn as 8 Republican candi-
date for the legislature in Blair
county. He is a Tyrone lawyer and
served one term, He gives pressute of
business as 8 reason for quitting the
game,
Mrs. ( Dr, ) Thurston snd Mrs. John
Ruhl, the latter ‘sccompanied by her
children, sll of Lewisburg, came lo
Centre Hall Friday and remained un-
til Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Car-
tie Ruhl. The former is the daughter
of the latter the daughter-in-law of
the late Andrew Ruhl, of Union coun.
