Child Shoots Mother.
A four year old son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Welshans, of Rsuchtown,
Clinton county, discharged a rifle
lying on the table in the kitchen of
the home, the bullet striking Mrs.
Welshavs on the hip. Bhe wss so
seriously wounded that physicians
could give no relief. Death came
within a few hours.
The father had loaded the gun and
laid It on the table while he was get-
ting ready to go to a neighbor's house
