go, has earned Paul Murray his second
vacation which he is spending at his
home in Centre Hall. Almost ime
mediately upon graduating at Penne
aylvania State College, Mr. Murray

deavor Convention will be held this
year at Howard in the Evangelical
church, September 4 and 5. A special

The barn on the farm of Prof. John
Hamilton, located two miles from
State College, was struck by lightning
and totally destroyed. John Spicer,
Jr, who is the tenant on the farm, is a
heavy looser, having had four hogs,
one colt, about eight hundred dozen
sheaves of wheat and all bis hay de.

M. M. Musser, of State College, ¢x-

rado Springs, Colorado, as the guest of
Gen. William J, Palmer. During
three years of the Civil War Mr. Mus-
ser served in the Fifteenth Pennsyl-
vania cavalry, Gen, Palmer's regiment,
He left Saturday for Harrisburg, where
he boarded the special train bearing
the old soldiers on their long journey
