Brothers Killed In A Fight,
Sergeant, Ky. (Special).—Thacker
Rice and Speed and Elijah Bailey,
brothers, were killed in a desperate
fight in a boat when crossing the Ken-
tucky River, 20 miles below here.
With them was John Ellsmore., A
dispute arose between Ellsmore and
Rice, whereupon the Balley brothers
took sides with Rice. Ellsmore with.
out warning struck Rice on the head
with an oar, and then a fight with
pistols and knives followed. Ells-
more, himself badly wounded, finally
reached shore with his companions,
