New York (8pecial).—A dynamite
magazine, containing explosives used
in the excavation work for the Penn-
sylvania Railroad's North River tun-
nel at Homestead, N. J., was blown
up shortly after midnight, a score
of employes at work in the vicinity
being injured and buildings for miles
around shaken. The shock of the
explosion broke probably every win-
dow in Homestead and at Union Hill,
and was felt in this elty and Brook-
lyn, where many tall buildings trem-
bled preceptibly.

to save the life of his son Michael,
