New York (Special) —A $10,000 auto.

stolen by a daring thief, who jumped into
the machine while it stood unoccupied on
Broadway, near Forty-second Street.
Its owner, J. H. Clarke, an automobile
manufacturer, had steppen into a restaur-

as it started away, and, although he
rushed immediately to the street, the
thief sped the machine around a corner
