Much Fuss Over Wig.
A short ago the Swindon
(Eng) guardians instrocted a reliev.
ing officer to ascertain the price of a
wig for a giri who had lost all har
hair and whose parent wae unable to
incur the necessary outlay. The pub.
licity given to the cage resulted in
the guardians being inundated with
letters of advice and suggestions, ono
correspondent enclosing a recipe for
restoring the hair, the ingrodierds of
which were "fine gunpowder and
eggloaf” and the cost only twopence
The guardians decided, however, that
the locs! hairdressers should be con
sulted.
