The wheat fields of Penns Valley
present a very sorry sSppearance,
The Luther League recently organ-
ized here, meets every =und.y even-
ing at six o'clock. These meetings are
highly interesting and are largely at-
tended by all denomioations.
The new landlord, Philip Drumm,
is the rignt man in the right place,
Mr. Drumm is doing an excellent bus-

Professor Hosterman has quite
large class of ladies and gentlemen stu-
dents from a distance, highly polished
and refined, who on their return home
can speak of the Academy building
beautifully. (7) It is ornamented with
huge piles of ashes, directly in front of
the building, and at every shower
causing filthy mud puddles, It is sim-
ply a disgrace to the neighborhood.

Cemetery hawe ordered all mounds of
graves to be removed, believing that
the cemetery would be much more
beautiful if all graves were leveled,

Priest May be Exonerated,
Coroner 8. M. Huff, assisted by Doc-
tors Seibert and Hayes, of Bellefonte
and Young and Nefl, of Enow Bhoe,
held a post mortem examination over
the remains of Andrew Bofka, at Clar-
ence, Monday afternoon and evening,
and decided that his death was due to
peritonitis brought on by appendici-
tis. Whether it was caused by the
whipping given the lad by Father Za-
rek was not stated. The general be-
lief is that their report will entirely
exonerate Father Zarek of all blame,
