ber land from Lloyd Brown,
west of town along the Boalsburg road.

Fire in Bellefonte
The dwelling house of Ipsurance
Agent Grant Hoover, in Bellefonte,
was greatly damaged by fire Wednes-
day night of last week. The family
was absent when the fire occurred, and
it is presumed it was caused by cloth-
ing hanging near the stove taking fire,

day at public sale for $600. The tim-
berland offered at the same time was

Samuel Gettig arrived at the home
of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. 8. R.
Gettig, in Spring Bank, one day last
week. Sam’ is serving an appren-
ticeship in the Westinghouse machine
shops, at Pittsburg, and sometime ago
had his right foot badly mangled, and
had just been released from the hospi-
tal prior to coming home,

Hunter's Tragedy, Almost
A Lewistown hunter, who was in
the mountain one day last week, tells

tree that in the gloom he was certain

in readiness when the object moved,
