Huntingdon Reformatory, $230,000. on SR DECKER THE STANDAKD BEARER, A ee The Republican County Convention Closes in Farcical Style The Republican county convention Tuesday was well attended so far as delegates were concerned, but the audience was limited to that class, save a few Bellefonte Republicans and Democrats, who watched the work of the convention. Chairman Reeder called the conven- tion to order. After reading of the call for same, Wilson I. Fleming nom- inated John M. Dale for chairman. The secretaries elected were James B. Strohm, Centre Hill, and Harry 8 Btuart, Sandy Ridge. After the appointment of a commit” tee on resolutions of which Wilson I. Fleming was chairman, George Smith, of Centre Hill, nominated John D, Decker, of Potter township, for Jury Commissioner. His nomipation, like all the other acts of the convention, was made unanimous. The delegates elected to the state convention to be held May 27, were Messrs, Eli Townsend, of Philipsburg, and T. H. Harter, of Bellefonte, Wilbur F. Reeder was then elected chairman, and at this instant Mr. Fleming emerged from the committee room assuming an unconscious air as to what had happened.
