W. H. Lucas, of near Centre Hill,
Saturday of last week, exhibited at the
station a fine specimen of deer head,
beautifully mounted by a Williamsport
taxidermist. The head has maguifi-
cently shaped horns—six prongs on
oue side snd seven on the other—and
was carried by a stately buck, whose
deership was ended last fall by a bullet
from Mr. Lucas’ rifls,
Matthew D. Poorman, superintend-
ent of the finishing department in
the large carriage factory of Martin &
Co, York, Pa., is one of the young
men formerly of this place who |
