Linden Hall.
Mrs. George Searson spent part of
last and this week with friends at Tus- |
sey ville,
Mr. Cryder, of Nittany, was in town
interests,
Mrs, J. H. Rnss and son are visiting
with their friends at Altoona.
Harry Lonberger will move into the
Kahn house, where he expects to de-
vote his time to studying music, under
the tutorship of Prof, Philip Meyer
and daughter of Boalsburg.
Jonn Diehl, who operated the grist
mill at this place, left for Altoona,
where he obtained employment with
the railroad company.
Miss Eva Bathgate, an accomplished
and pretty young lady of Lemont, vis-
ited with her friend, Ella Ross, on
Main street recently.
The new United Evangelical minis-
ter, Rev. Shultz, preached his iuotro-
ductory sermon here on Sunday, and
all seemed very well pleased with this
his first discourse,
Noah Fehl, of Rebersburg, was cir-
culating among his friends and rela-
tives through this section last week.
Mrs. Malinda Rishel, of Boalsburg,
spent Wednesday last at this place.
Miss May Stump, who spent a few
days with her parents at this place,
left for Lemont Monday.
J. W. Shook, proprietor of
Spring Mills creamery, visited at the
home of Luther Royer, Wednesday

Franklin of Pine
Mills, spent Sunday at the residence
of George Bwabb,
Miss Lizzie Gettig, who spent a few
weeks with friends and relatives at
Braddock, returned home Monday.
Movings—David Bohn who had

Sparr residence; Irvin Burris to Cen-

Egg Hill
The funeral of Speer Hettinger last
Friday was largely attended by rela-
tives and friends.
Mr. Slagle, of Aaronsburg, moved to
the Henry Royer farm last Tuesday.
E. W. Boob, who lived ou the Fos-
ter farm in Penn township, moved to
the Gilliland farm in Georges Valley
Tuesday, 2nd inst.
Boyd Lucas will be assistant mana-
ger on the Gilliland farm during the
coming summer.
Constable P. C. Frank conveyed
John Auman, of the South side, to
Fort Brungart one day last week for
nlleged wife beating. The whipping
post might be a good institution for
such fiends.
On Tuesday the sale of the personal
property of the late A. Edward Meyer
was held, and was well attended.
Mi-s Gertie Frank, of this pl ace, last
week was assisting Mick Miller's to
move their household goods from the
Royer farm in Sprucetown to Potters
Mills,
Mr, Walters, of Centre Hall, moved
ti the Sweetwood farm last Friday.
Mr. Noll, of near Centre Hall, was
visiting friends in this section a few
