The latest returns show that McKin-
ley has carried 28 Stales and Bryan 17.
The President has again been suc-
cessful in every State which he won in
1896 except Kentucky, which has
turned to the Democratic column. In
addition, he has carried Kansas, South
Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyom-
ing, which declared for Bryan in 1896,
His clectoral vote is 282 and Bryan's
is 155; McKinley's plurality, 121 as
compared with 95 in 1896.
McKinley's estimated
