When you vote for Assemblymen
you must remember that not simply
the men must be considered, but you
must consider whether you want Cen-
tre county represented by Republicans
who will act altogether contrary to
Democratic principles. The Demo-
cratic candidates for the legislature
can be depended upon to vote against
any unjust Republican measures, and
that is sufficient reason why every
Democrat in Centre county should sup-
port them. Their Democracy is un-
questionable,
Chairman J, K. Johnston, of the
Democratic county committee, has ar-
‘ranged with the district chairmen to
have meetings at a number of places in
Penps valley the locations and dates of
which are appended, It si the duty
of all good Democrats to see that these
meetings ars attended, Demo-
crats don’t belleve in civilizing with
bayonets, or compelling one to vote
the Democratic ticket by threats,
but they do believe in persuading vot-
ers by discussing the issues of the day
honestly and fearlessly, and it is to
hear these arguments that the chair
man asks all Democrats and others

they will be met by able speakers,
