Lee, of Colyer, was a caller Thursday and had a kind word to eay for the Reporter. Hugh Hamilton, of State College, visited his sister, Mrs, James Gool- hart, at Lewistown. Miss Jennie Longacre, one of the publie school teachers in Bellefonte, is the guest of Mrs. L. C. Irvin. Wm. Bun Fischer, son of Rev. W. E. Fischer, of Shamokin, D. D., is a stu- dent at Gettysburg College. Margaret Bolander, of Middleburg, assistant postmistress at that place, is a visitor at the Geiss home, Mrs. Dr. Ward, of Bellefonte, came to town Friday to see her aged mother, Mrs. Mary Stiver, on Church street. Miss Jennie Gill, ot Milroy, is spend- ing a week with her sister, Mrs. Isauc Shawver, at this place, and called at the Reporter office. The veteran Wm. Knoflsinger, of Pleasant Gap, took in the picnic and did not fail to remember the Reporter both socially and financially. The marriage of Miss Winifred Neubaker, of Danville, and J. Malcolm Laurie, of Bellefonte, took place at Perry O. Stiver, of Freeport, Ill, came east Inst week on a visit to his aged mother, Mrs, Mary Stiver, of this place. He was formerly county superin- tendent of public schools and still maintains a great interest in educa- tional affairs. Mr. Stiver's presence here brings to mind his brothers, who attended school at Centre Hall and afterward went west to begin life oa the foundations laid here.
