School Fands Looted, :
Although State Treasurer Beacom
but a few days ago denied that there
were any school appropriations over-
due and unpaid, itis a fact that sueh
is the case right here in Franklin
county. The following townships, it
is Known, have not as yet received
their appropriations, now nearly six
months overdue: Quincy, Lurgan,
Fannett, Metal, Southampton and
Montgomery. Chambersburg was for-
tunate in getting its share some time
ago. In one township two months’
salary of teachers is due, and the
Board will have to borrow and pay in-
terest in order to pay the teachers, In
some districts new buildings have been
erected, and the money appropriated
on June 1 last would no doubt be wel-
comed. Chambersburg special, Phil-
adelphia Ledger.
This furnishes additional proof that
the Quay-Stone machine is using the
school teachers’ money for political
purposes,

this place one day last week.

The Democratic meeting held in the

thanked the pitizens for the favor con.

Is an art nowadays, and it isn’t everybody who knows what are
the latest points. Our tailoring department is organized and run
by young men whose only thought is to better and perfect the
clothes-making we do. We can’t afford to have a man take away
a garment that is not satisfactory. If you are not acquainted
with us and our methods we don’t know a better way or time
than to ask you to see now. Our Mr. Bullock’s only thought is
to make perfect fitting trousers. No matter how critical you are
we'll please you.
