John Matthews Killed Family and Himself, NEW YORK TRAGEDY, Apparently the Farents Discouraged by Misfortunes Decided to Nie Together and Resolved to Take Their Children with Them Had Been in Business and Falled, New York, says: John Matthews, a rotall grocer, some time be- tween Saturday and Monday morning mur- dered his wife and their two children, a boy 10 years old and a girl twelve, by hacking them to death with a hatchet.
