WasniNaTon, Feb, 27.—The opening session of the twenty-third women's national suffrage convention was held at Albaugh's grand opera house yester- day, and with two sessions each day will continue until Sanday. The same large audience that has characterized the meetings of the woman's council during the first four days of the week was present. The exercises were begun by music and singing, which were followed by the invocation by the Rev. Olympia Brown. The dele- gates were then welcomed to Wash- ington by Mrs. Eva M.S.
