Buenos Ayres, July 28. — Another
battalion has joined the insurgents. The
revolationists are commanded by Man-
uel Campos and Arredantio. Their
numbers are certainly increasing. The
result of Saturday's street fighting was
adverse to the government. The navy
remains neutral. Pellegrine has
sumed the presidency.
The plot to overthrow the government,
which has been suspected for some weeks
and the existence of which has been so
many times denied, was carried out
Saturday, and President Dr. Juarez Cel-
mara is a fugitive,

Buesos AYres, July 29.--The revoln-
tionary movement is spreading rapidly.
There was desperate fighting between
the government troops and revolution-
ists. The former were defeated, and
1,000 of them were killed or wounded
The revolntionists have been joined by
the navy. The government house and
the barracks were bombarded by the ar-
tillery of the insurgents,
The opposing forces yesterday
ranged at wenty-four hour truce,
Yesterday the government troops re-
ceived strong re-enforcements from the
enterior. President Colman has re-
turned to the city and resumed his of-
fice. The situation is changing in favor
of the government.

GuateMara, July 28 <A revolt has
broken ont here, directed against Presi-
dent Barillas and his cabinet, The revo.

Manuel Beteta and Col. Salvador Are-
vals. The police force in the capital
has been augmented from 300 to 500
men. A number of the soldiers refused
duty as they had not been paid. Over
180 were marched off to prison.
Then a regular mob paraded the

rested and carried off to prison. There
is much dissutisfaction among the mili
tary, and the great fear now is that the
latter will muake comninon cause with the
revointionists.

guarded, no one being allowed in the

Two Fatal Moocidents,

railroad struck a two hors: team and
driver at a crossing near Herr's station.
The driver and team were killed in-
stantly. A gang of laborers who were
constructing a sewer at the roadside
became so frightened at the accident
that they let go their hold on a large
cast iron pipe. The pipe fell into the
ditch and upon two men, killing one and
fatally injuring the other.
