On the evening of the 30th the presi dent will be escorted to the Metropolitan Upera house by the chairman of the tertainmient commitiee, anied by Mrs. Harrison P and Mrs. Morton, Hill and Lieutenant Governor Mrs. Jones, and will be met at door by the manager of the hall, will escort him to the floor of the ball- room, where he will be formally received by the mayor. The ball will then opened by a quadrille. Tickets for the parade go unevenly. The Worth monument stand is sold out, except 400 tickets, while less than one- half of the tickets for the stands at Forty-second street, Washington square and Chambers street have been applied for. West Cugster, Pa, April 18.-John McMinn, son of Samuel MeMinn, of West Nantmeal township, in this county, was shot in mistake for a robber. A fow nights ago burglars broke into Mr, Me- Minn's barn, in which several fine horses are kept. The thieves wore evidently frightened off, as some of their harness was found in the barn next morning and none of the horses missing. Mr. McMinn and som, thinking the robbers would return, since then watched nightiy for some time.
