What ‘Round-ihe-World Stevens and
Champion Howell Say of the Sport.
The popularity of

Thomas Stevens, who has just

ing, In training, about 160 pounds,
He commenced riding in 1879 and in
1881, at Belgravia grounds, Leicester,
he won the one-mile championship of
the world, beating all the best men
the day,
