ADOPTION OF STREETS,
Ba it ordained by the Town Council
ofthe Borough of Centre Hall, Centre
County, Pennsylvania, and it is hereby
ordained by the authority of the same :
That the Lewistown and Bellefonte
tarnpike road, and the Brush Valley
road. as they are now located through the
gaid Borough, are adopted and ordained
as streets, and not to be enanged unless
ordered by special resolutions of Coun-
ceils: the former to be known and desig-
nate. as Penn Avenue, and the latter as
Church Street,
PAVEM RUCTIONS
ANTS ~CONS1
Sgorton 1—That all pavements and
sidewalks constructed along the street in
front or along the side of all the lots or
grounds within the limits of the Borough
shall be'six (6) feot wide, including curb
stone. and in front of or along side of all
unimproved lots aud other lands within
the borough not le«s than four (4) feet
wile, nnless otherwise ordered by spe-
cial resolution of Town Council.
Section 2—That whenever ordered by
resolution of Town Council, it shall be
the daty of the Street Commissioner to
notify the owner or owners (his or her
their agents or tenants ocenpying such
nremises) of any lot or lots of ground, or
her lands within the limits of the
Horoarh fronting or extending along any
street. to construct and put down at the
grade established by the Jorough Engi-
neer, or other competent anthority,
of the width established by ordinance or
resolution of Council, a good and sab-
stantial pavement or side-walk ; and up-
on failure or neglect of such owner of
owners, their agents or tenants in pos
session to canse said pavement or side-
walk to bs constructed as herein pro-
vided. within thirty days after such po-
tice, it shall be the duty of the Street
Commissioner to cause said

SiorioN 2-—If any person or persons
ghall put or place any manure, fence,
wall, building, impediment or obstrue-
tion in any of the streets, alleys, or pub-
lie grounds, or canse the same to be done,
he or they so offending shall forfeit and
pay the sum of One Dollar for each and
every offense,
S8gerioy 3~If any person or persons
shall put or place, or cause to be put or
on within the limits of the Borough,
the carcass of any dead animal, or any
offal. or filth whatever, he or they so of-
fonding shall forfeit and pay the sum of
Two Dollars for each and every offense.
Sgerion 4—That all forfeitures or pen-
alties imposed by forgoing sections of
this ordinance shall be recovered in the
same manner as debts of like amount
are now recoverable by law
GUTTERS
That the owners of real estate in said
Borough fronting on any of the streets
in said Borough, shall at their own ox-
pense construct such gutters or drains
along such real estate, between the pave-
ments and the streets, as the Council
shall direct, either by ordinance or reso
lution,
Sgeriox 1—That whenever requested

shall be the daty of the Street Commis
sioner to notify him or them to remove

five days after notice, the Street Com-
missioner shall remove same at the

as to obstruct any such crossing, shall
pay a fine n t exceading Five Dollars.

who shall mutilate, injure or destroy any
sha te or ornamental trees planted or
growing along the strats or public
annds of said Borough, or hitch any
arse or other beast thereto or otherwise
injure the ame, shall pay a fine not ex-
ceeding Five Dollars,
