LE RAID BY
LARS,
Huntingdon, May 11.—Eightdwellings
in Petersburg, Huntingdon county, were
entered and robbed by burglars on Sat-
urday night. Last night some train men
on the Pennsylvania road saw a light in
a vacant school house below the town,
and on going to it three or four men
jumped from a rear window, ran into the
woods and escaped. The door was then
broken open and a great quantity of
stolen goods, consisting of silverware, ta-
ble linen, household utensils of all kinds,
bread, butter, meat and other articles
were found. The place seemed to be a
general redeptacie for the plunder of the
thieves, The goods were put on the train
and taken to Altoona and will be re-
turned to the owners,
