Taking effect Jan. 1, 1884, there
will be used a new ticket tariff on P. &
E. rsiiroad reducing the charge from 314
to 3 ceuls per wile. Conductor's rates
remain at 2} cents per mile, and persons
ying on trains will be charged the
higher rate, except when taking passage
from stations where there are no ticket of-
flces, in which case they will pay but 3¢
r mile, The new rats from Spring
ills to Lewisborg will be $1.25, old rate
$1.47 other points are in proporiion.
When i passengers should always
buy their tickets before entering the
ears—it will be a positive gain for them
to do so.

loaded with good tunings to which the
guests did ample justice.

more elaborate and handsome than
former years. All indicates piogress in|

of worship for all Christians, We believe
that the religious character which the
observance of Christmas is assuming
more and more is a sure indication also
of the progress of Christianity, KEspeci-

the day of all days for them in the whole

by the pastor aimed at bringing outsome |
