This tree is on the old David Miller} east of Aaronsburg, the premises now oo: cupied by Benjamin Stover. was planted by the great-grandfather of the Stover family now go pumerous in that section. It grew to immense pro- portions and many years ago says a relia ble informant who lived near there, it yielded 80 bushels of apples. In one| season alone there were made four bar rels of cider from the fruit of this tree] and there were apples enough left to fur nish the winter supply for the family The tree is described as of the propor- tions of a large willow, with long droop ing branches, which in favorable sea- sons were almost a golid mass of fruif.
