On Wednesday morning of last week,
death laid his icy band upon John Hess,
an old and much esteemed cititizen o!
Haines twp. His funeral on the follow-
ing Friday, at the St. Paul's church, was
very largely attended.

dence in Clearfield on Monday morning,
23, of paralysis of the brain. He was
well known throughout Clearfield coun-
ty in politjeal aud professional circles,
having resided there for many years,

They have the most elegant lot of

for men. Now is the time to get a good

hile we can stand the defeat of any of
