A despatch from Pendleton, dated
Jan. 11, to-day, reports tbeexecutioi
.of two Indians—white Owl and ljuii
Ti Tumps —who were hanged in tin
afternoon. The chiefs were dressed
in full 1 tidiau costume and preserved
throughout the proverbial stoicism of
their race, both dying with the death
chant on their lips.
