STOLSN BOSBB KIOOVXUED.
The favorite horse stolen from tho stable
of Zeno Fees, near Lewistuwn, on the
night of the 23d March last, was recovered
last week in Duffs livery stable, Philadel
phia. Front intimations which had been
thrown out to Sheriff Fleming, he was in
duced to believe'.be stolen animal was in
the city, and having gone down with Col.
Rhodes' excursion party he made it bis
business further to inquire into the matter,
and soon became satisfied that bis infor- (
mation was correct. Mr. Fees was than
telegraphed to come down, and upon hit
arrival a warrant was procured, tho horse
taken possession of. There are alio some
tracks of tho buggy which may lead to its.
recovery, and as several parties seem to
have had a hand in the transfer of the
horse it is possible somcof the confederates
of this gang may yet ccmo to grief. There
it some reason to believe that another ito- 1
len horse, highly valued by the owner, is
i- also down below.
Fees' horse it appears was in Philadel
phia the third night after being taken,
which would indicate that there is h regu
lar route through the lower part of Snyder
county to the Susquehanna, and thence
by by-roads tc Philadelphia. We are of
opinion that a sharp detective could un
