Monday Kvewing. April, 21d, ISTT —The
meeting w* called to s*rder by the Presi

tion of the Executive Committee was
laid before the SocGty, and approved
Ist. That the time for boltiing the next
county fair b fixed .'or M ednes.'ay,
Thursday and Friday, the 3d, si 1 ' and 6th
davs ot October. IS7T.
•Jd. That all live stock exhibited at -aid

A proposition from Miss Lixxia L ling
was laid before the Society, in which she
proposed, if engaged by the Society, to
ascend in her balloon to the height of six
thousand feet, Jexplode her bailo, n and
descend by means of a parachute, a* near
a* possible to the point from which she
made the ascent. The Secretary was in
structed to correspond with her in refer
ence to the matter. On motion of B. F.
Ligget it was resolved: That our next
fair be conducted upon a plan similar to
that adopted at the Centennial Exhibition
by allotting space in buildings ar J upon
the grounds, to the various b rough*,
townships, granges, or other as-ocia'..-.>B-,
desirous of making a separate exhibition,
and in this way stimulate a generous rival
ry and secure a larger and more credita

other product* of the county. The follow
ing was adopted on motion of Wm.
, Shortlidgo, Whereas, the agricultural and
industrial interests throughout the coot (] :
are largely represented by the Patron- of
Husbandry, and whereas, it is desirable
that all the agricu'turnl anu indu-tri.il in
terests be united, and fully reprs-i-nted:
therefore resolved, that the different
granges throughout the county , as well a
the county grange, be and are cordially
invited and expected to meet with u- and
participate in the proceedings of the - -
ciety, and the Executive Committee. A '
committee was appointed to confer wlb
