We hear a rumor of a case of poi
soning, in the mountains back ot Georges
Valley. A Mr. Parker who died there
about two weeks ago being the victim.
Mr. Parker becoming ill. Dr. Mingle was
sent for, who found the patient in a con
dition indicating he had taken poison,
end he left an emetic, and rumor has it
that after the doctor left, poison was again
added to the medicine. Mr. Parker i
dead and buried and we trust that there
may be no foundation for the above horri
ble rumor. The matter needs clearing up.
