—Track is now laid* to within two
mile- of Paddy mountain tunnel. We
are reliably informed that there are
enough of rails on the ground now to lay
track two miles this side of Spring Mills,
and that the road will not be delayed at
the latter point. We hope that the peo
ple cfthis valley are not to be subject to
any more delays—the work is now going
©n slowly enoagh, notwithstanding as
surance was given that it would be pushed
with more earnestness. Our people were
prompt in performing their part, and
sime subjected to prosecution becau-e
they were not prompt in paying their sub-
L. scriptions, yet the railroad company has
been more than alow in performing its
part.
Since writing the above *c have been
iviuaaed that two miles of track were laid
las', week, and by the end of this week 24
miles more will be laid and the tunnel
reached. We have adso just been inform
ed that orders have been given to pnsb the
work ahead.

whether it does not come up fully to what
is said in their advertisement.
