M. E. SCKDAT SCHOOL —On Wednes
day evening of last week, the members of
the Methodist church and othars of tins
place, held a preliminary meeting tor the
purpose of organizing a Sabbath school.
The following officers were elected:

A. Reesman; Lib., W. T. Richards.
On last Sabbath the first session of their

Col. M'Clure's Daily Times, of 15th,
came to us enlarged and improved. It is
now eight months old, and bas met with
that cuccess it so richly deserves, being
one of the best, and most spirited dailies
ever published in Philadelphia.
We bear a reportthat Ritz Burns, of
Lewistown lost his hfe by accidental
shooting. He was out beyond Pliilipsburg
hunting deer, with a party of friends, and
was found dead. We did not get any fur
ther particulars.
