their party ever had the stonuch to nom

atirThe movement recently inaugura

soldiers' favorite, is a dead failure. The
"boys in blue" know all about the"hero."
They know exactly how, and where, and
when, he fought.

example. It supplies lime gratuitously,
for - whitowsuthing purposes, and where
there is a board or scantling it is sure to
receive a coat of white. Little danger of
the cholera in that place.
serThe difference between the Sol
thereof Cumberland county and the dis
union politicians, since tile convention of

are "the boys in the blues."— 17q/untasr.

THE GREAT ZINGARI BITTERS.
/VMS WONDSMFUL P.EIIRDIr was discov
ered and introduced about twenty years
agosy Dr. S. Cheopsus, an eminent Eg) ptiAn
phy*ian.-
HS had long seen and felt the want of some
remedy which would strike at the rcot of dis
ease/ and so prevent much of the suffering
which the human family was then compelled to
endure.
The great question was presented to his
mind every day in vivid colors as be moved a
mong the sick and•dying, and observed the in
efficiency of nearly all the remedies then in
use. Thus he was lead to think and experi
ment; and after ten years of study and labor,
he presented to his fellow mad, the wonderful
Zingari Bitters. Theeff et of this preparation
in the prevention and cure of disease, wag so
marvellous and astonishing, that the most
battering Marks of royal favor were bestowed
upon him who discovered it. His name was
placed upon the Roll of Nobles, and a gold
medal with the following inscription—Dr. S.
Cheopsus, the Public Benefactor—was, pre
sented•to him by the Viceroy.
Tho preparation has been 'used in several
epidemics of cholera. both as a preventive and
curative measure, and with such great success
that it has been introduced into nearly nil the
general hospitals of the old world. '
The old lisping that an ounce of prevention
is - worth i pound of cure, applies with mar
vellous force to cholera, and therefore any
remedy that will protect us against.this terri
ble disease should be freely and persistently
used..
All pathologists now agree that the cholera
poison- acts on the system through the blood,
and that any combination which , acts mit
the excretory-o!gans, and keeps them in work
ing order, must prevent a sufficient accumu
lation of the poison to exert its terrible effects
on the organism. This is true - not only of
cholera, but of nearly all other maladies, espe
cially the different forms of fevers.
The Zingari Bitters is just such a remedy as
the above conditions require. It acts on the
organs of excretion and secretion, keeping up
a perfect balance between them: This Bitters
is composed entirely of roots and herbs, so
nicely concocted that every organ, is acted
upon and put in tone. Its taste is pleasant
and its effects prompt and lasting.
Numerous cases of 'the foloiving diseases
have been cured by it: Cholera, Diarrhoea,
Typhoid and Typhus Fever, Fever, Ague, Ner
vous Debility, Anaemia, Femalettrregtrtarties,
Dyspepsia, Flatulency, Colic, ScSofula, &c.

Dr. J. 11. Schenck—Dear Sir:— For over
fifteen years I have been troubled with a se
vere cough, and usually two or three times a
-year with more or less hemorrhage, which to
gether, for the last few years, has kept me thin
in flesh and too weak to do business of any
kind without suffering. In August last I had
a very severe hemorrhage, and, according to
the judgment of a good New York physician, I
was classed as beyond the reach of medicine,
and was advised to be prepared, so , lisr as
property matters were concerned, to leave this
world at shot t notice. The physician (and
my good friends) said that the first cold f took
must prove fatal. Early in January I took a
' severe cold, and fortunately was occupying
rooms at No. 32 BOND STREET, directly over
your office. I think about :he tGth of January
I procured a bottle of your Pulmonic Syrdp
and commenced taking it freely. My feet and
limbs were very much swol4n, and all the
symptoms at a speedy death seemed to accom
pany my cold. I sent for my former physician,
and stated to him that I was taking your medi
cines, and, after showing them to him, and
having tasted of them, tc ,he replied: "Yon
can take them if you like, they will do you no
harm." He said: "You knots , what-I told
you last summer, and I say the same now, if
you have any busicess to close up, do not put
it off." He said to otter friends that he "oould
see no hope for me," and my friends and rela
tions ccncluded my time had come. At this
• time I was taking_freely of your medicine, but
had not seen you. The doctor called a few
times, and found me (much to his ourprise, he
said,) improving, and he coull not ifftderstaad
why. My faith was increasing in your medi
cines, and I had a wish to have you examine
my case, and see what you had to say. When
you first came to my room and made the ex
amination, you gave me but little encourage
ment, but on the contrary, expt eased sad doubt/
of my ever being helped out'of my then seem--
log difficulties. The second time that you
called, Ending me still gaining, you gave me
encouragement, saying, 4, nry symptoms were
improving; the Pulmonic Syrup, Sea-weed
Tonic vind Mandrake Pills had acted like a
charm." my circulation, my cough, my appe
tite, all began to improve, and I could walk
about my room a little. You visited me
nearly every Tuesday, and, found me improv
ing, and tot.] me not to go out of my room un
til the first day of May. I took no cold while
under your treatment, my appetite became
first-rate, and you told me to eat everything I
wished of a nutritious nature, and to exercise
about the room as much.as posaible. I fol.
, lowed your advice, and to the surprise of my
phyin'and friends, I acme much better
I than I hare been for several years, and brentlio
better than I ever expected a person could with

I feel very grateful tc you, and consider your
advice and medicines Invaluable.-
ICI
Yoiars, truly,
Dr. Schenck—Dear Sir: - -About two years
ago I was taken with a very troublesome cough
and a pain in my breast oreven or eight months
passed away without my doing any thing fur
myself. Then I applied to a physician, who
attended me -for about three Inbuilt* without
rendering me any service. I also obtained the
advice and treatment of a physician in one of
our , hospitals, and also had the advice and
treatment of two other physicians, .but al.l to au
purpose. During this long- space of time. I
was nearly_ dead; several flint., my friends
came-to see me and witness my exit into the
spirit-world. I was confined to my- bed two
months et one time. My bresthing was ex
ceedingly short. I live up several times all
hope of getting better; and as regarded getting
well, that was entirely out of the question.—
And to think this day I am will and hearty
was advised by some of my friends to try Dr.
Schenck's Medicines. I accordingly bought
bottle after but‘fe„ , until I reached the ninth ;
then I found a decided change in my cough
for the better. I suffered severely from palpi
tation of the heart, Rad two weeks after I
commenced taking yotir medicine this difficul
ty ceased.
BM
When I first went to Dr. Schenck's office it
was with difficulty that I could get up into his
reception room, I was so - weak and so swelled ;
my skin was as sallow as though I bad the
jiundice; I felt dull, heavy and steeples*. Dv.
Schenck, after examining me, said both my
lungs were affected, and gave me but little
hope ; but his medicines, in about two weeks,
took right boil of me ; it seemed to go right
through my whole system. The Pulnionic
Syrup, Sea-weld Tonic and Mandrake Pills,
all took right hold in the right place. The
Pills brought away great • quantities of bile
and slime ; the Syritp loosened the mutter is
my lungs, which- came off very frei; the Si &-
Weed Tunic gave me an appetite, and every
thing seemed to taste good:
To show what great power the medicines
hive in purifying my system, and to allow how
bad I was diseased, beside all the bile that
passed my bowels, and the great q.innt hies of
phlegm and matter 1 expectwated; I broke
out all over in large boils, that would continue
to gather and run for about six weeks, tied
had at one time over twenty five boils. I have
nothing of the kind now, and feel like another
person - altogether. I can safely say that I
have not enjoyed such health for fire years as
I do now, and cannot praise TOI} and your
medicines enough. May Cod abundantly
