Micyclers are naturally interested in the subject or good roads, as their light ve hicles are sensitive to imperfections over which a more stoutly built carriage would pass with little or no notice, and in various states they are trying to influence legisla ti.n on the subject. In Pennsylvania the League of American Wheelmen has taken up the subject and has given official en dorsement to the McQuown bill, other wise known as the Hamilton Good Roads bill, which provides for the maintenance and repair of roads by township supervis ors, under the auspices of the Secretary of Agriculture. The association considers tiiis bill well calculated to secure the ob ject aimed at, and as this U the opinion of men who have studied it from a practical standpoint, instead of a political one, it is entitled to much weight.
