Hicyclers are naturally interested in the subject of good roads, as their light ve hicles are sensitive to imperfections over which a more stoutly built carriage would pass wilh little or no notice. and in various tales they are trying to influence legisla tii n on the subject. In Pennsylvania the league of American Wheelmen has taken up the subject and has giveu oflicial en dorsement to the Mcljuown bill, other wise known as the Hamilton Good Koad bill, which provides for the maintenance and repair of roads by township superyis or, under the auspices of the Secretary of Agriculture. The association considers this bill well calculated to secure the ob ject aimed at, and as this is the opinion of men who have studied it from a practK-al standpoint, instead of a political one, it is entitled to much weight.
