A ;ol Scheme for any Tow n.
There is a scheme in vogue at Middle
port, which, il would seem, might very
profitably be tried anywhere. Each year
a local auctioneer sets apait a day upon
which he w ill sell lor the tow nspt ople any
thing which lle-y may wish to dispose of.
The result is a Very large number of mis
cellaneous articles which change hands
generally to the gratification of both first
and second owners. The aiictioneer is
paid a percentage upon his sales. Such a
sale allows the people to unload the con
tents of old attics and back Woodsheds of
articles absolutely useless to them, and
yet, which often prove very seryiceabis to
other H-rsous. Jcrsiy Ulturc UcniUl.
