Mrs. Margaret Klder, wife of Richard

Mr. James Gormley, a highly esteemed
and respected citizen of Clearfield town
ship, died on Wednesday of last week, aged

box cars at the Pennsylvania railroad sta

buttal. The prisoner was asked to give

at court, which was furnished by John
Thomas becoming his bondsman, hater
investigations indicate that the company

doing business.

Miss Fannie A. Stephens, of Duncan
111111. l'a., on Tuesday of last week while
suffering from typhoid fever and probably
delirious, made an attempt on her life by
cutting her t hroat at the home of her uncle,
Kobcrt Stephens, of Irvona. Clearfield
county, and the injuries rcccivcJ wi re of
a horrible character. There were atxxit
seventeen gashes in the throat and the
windpipe was severed. A silver tube was
1 inserted and nourishment supplied through
j it. although from the nature of the
j wounds it w as found to be a diflicnlt mat
I ter to supply the victim wjth fond. In
I the opinion of physicians, the wounds in
' the throat were sufficient to cause death,
j independently of the fever from which
I Miss Stephens suffered. She died at 2
o'clock on Sunday morning. She
