M. ltylaff from Cat's Bite. Richard S. Bartine, one of the leading lawyers of Monmouth county, N. J., is dying at his home in Loch Arbour from the effects of the bite of a cat. He dis plays all the symptoms of hydrophobia. Mr. Bartine is the oldest living son of the Rev. Dr. David W. Bartine. His law office is in Asbury Park. On his way home Wednesday afternoons Mr. Bartine would walk from the elevated railroad car across the bridge over IK-al Ijike. On his way home about eight I months ago Mr. Bartine saw a big dog worrying a cat on tlie bridge. He drove the brute away and took tlie cat up in his arms, when the animal was attacked with spasms and bit the lawyer oa the hand. Tlie injured hand healed, and Mr. Bartine felt no ill effects fiom the wound until Tuesday afternoon, when he complained of pains in his side and head.
