A Clear Complexion
Fow can you expect a clear complexion
when the blood is full of impurities and the
stomach clogged ? The blood becomes
Impure because the liver dees not act pro
perly and work fff the poison from the
stem, and th certain results are blotches,
pimples and eruptions. Furify the blood
with Simmons Liver Regulator, and regulate
the liver, stomach and bowels, and then the
ekin will become clear.

Dear Sir: I have to acknowledge the
superior quality of Wrlnesof your production, i

It has been the custom for some time back
for some of the Cloth'ers of our town to
visit you with samples of their stock, solicit
ing your patronaqrs. Almost everv sensi
ble person roust recognize the fact that it Is
a'most impossible for a business house
carrving a large and varied lino or clothing,
to do justice to themselves in displaying
their goods by samples. We have been re
quested by some of your best citizens to
again visit Ebensburg. (being no doubt
satisfied with our wav of doing business and
our extremlv low uniform on price to all),
and the on ly reason that deters ' us are the
facts as sfsfed above, "the multiplicity of
kinds, qualities, styles ar.d prices."
We have therefore h't upon the fol'owlng
plan which must meet tb approval of all.

Editor Frffman As I have a few

writing a few gleanings for the columns of
of your paper.
The weather to-day Is very warm and
pleasant, but for some time past has been
very unfavorable and our farmers have rot
made much headway in tilling tha soli and
sowing seed for future sustenance. The
weather ha been very ad and wet for sev
eral weeks and has rotted the seeds that had
been sown In the earl7 part of the season so
that some of our farmers will be obliged to j
sow for the second time. j
There has been a base ball club oruanl- !
zed In our locality for the first time this j
spring, and a challenge was received from
the Carrolltown club which was accepted)
by our club ; and in the early part of the the :
present week a contest ensued between the J
two parties in which onr team was defeated ,
by but one score. The game was a yery j
civil and social one and thanks are extended j
for the kindness and repect shown to us by j
the club. There will be more games played !
In the future In which we will try to have
the victorious score In our favor. We have
the sympathy of bystanders that there was ,
Impartiality during the process of the canoe
which would have given ns victory. But
our tam now challenges tbe Carrolltown ,
club to play ba9e ball or run race at any j
suitable time or place, and for any agree- J
