last week, died on Friday morning last.
The funeral took place in St. Bartholomew's
cemetery on Sunday. lie was the oldest son
of Mr. James McDann, was aned 18 years,
and was a quiet, good boy. His disease
was consumption. His mother, who was a
daughter of the late Daniel O'llara, died
last fall.
Adrian, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L..
Parrish, of Allegheny township, died on
Wednesday night of last week, aged twenty
months. Thi? child had been ill with In
! fl animation of the lungs for several weeks,
but was apparently getting well when death
! snddenlv and nnexnectedlv snatched it
from earth and translated it to paradise,
j Th funeral on Saturday was largely at
j tended by the friends and relatives of the
i family. This is the first death in Mr. Par
! rifh's famil y, and we hope it will be a lone
time before we will be called upon to chron
icle a like event in the household of our
worthy friends.
Yesterday in Nuptial Mass, in the Catho
lic church at Wi! more, Mr. Peter C. Tanner,
formerly of Carroll township, and Miss
Katie Plummer, of Summerhill. were mar
ried by Father Mellugh, and Immediately
afterward the ceremony was performed by
the same clergyman in behalf of Mr. Ber
nard Ammersly, of Allegheny, and Miss
Mary E Topper, of Adams township.
While Father Mcllneh was solemnizing
the nuptials above noted, he was the victim
of an unexpected eviction, tbo crowbar
brigade of Mr. M. C. Waltz, the contractor
for the erection of the coming pastoral resi
dence haying suddenly appeared upon the
scene and proceeded to remove the f nrni
