GRIFFITH Died, at the residence of
his father, Mr. Evan Griffith, in Lilly's, on
Monday. October otb, 1885,Sherman Griffith,
aged about 20 years.
Sad indeed it is to chronicle the closing
of as young life so full of promise. D.'ath j
has taken the light and joy of the household
and loft a void in the hearts of his parents
and sisters, which tlr.ie will never fill. !
Born and reared in Ehensburg, Sherman
had many acquaintances thera to whom his
deah will bring sorrow. Blessed with a
kindly disposition, none knew him but to '
become his friend. About two years ago i
he caught a severe cold, which planted the !
geim-i of consumption, which finally ended
his life. All that medical skill and chance1
of air could do for him was done, but to no
avali. Last winter he spent the cold sea
son in Florida in company with Dr. Griffith,
cf Ebensburg, and returned sliahtly bene-'
fited: only to again relapse and pass away i
with the withering leaves and fading flow- '
ers. ;
The interment took place Id Ioyd's !
cemetery, Ehrnsburg. after services in the i
Presbyterian church, of which the deceased
