Suits have been brought in the common pleas court ot Blair county against the ol.li.itors. a separate action havtn been in stituted against each signer. A meeting ul the several defendants, was called a lew days ago to decide upon what nctiou 'hall be tuken. It Is thought that noe ca-e will be selected lor trial as a test case. The defendant seem confident that there can be do recovery ou the bond. Tl.e matt-ir has, however, caused considerable speculation, and it remains for the court to pa-is, upon and de cide a question which no duubl each ot the parties litigant thinks will be determined iu his lavor. isricins; in Altoona. A young man of 21 years, or thereabouts, entered the office of the Central Hotel, Altoona, about 10 o'clock on last Tuesday night, and asked if he cou Id secure a room. Keceiving an answer in the affirmative, he handed the keeper a half a dollar, leinai king that he would not eat anything, as he did not feel well. About midnight two pistol reports were heard by the occupants of the rooms adjoining the one in whie!i be bad been put to sleep, and when the door was unlocked the young man was found lying iu bed in a dying condition, bis brains oozing from a bullet hole in the right' side ot his head. He died in fifteen minutes, lie registered as l-J. P. St ppen, Boston." The Coroner held an inquest on Wednesday morning and a verdict was rendered in ac cordance with the above facts. So writing nor any tiling else was found upon his person by which he could be identified, aml the re mains of the unfortunate man, which were visited by a large number of persons during the day, were interred in the almshouse burying ground. I --.. Mn. William R. Seymovu, of Columbus. ! O., writes: "I attended a course of lectures : several winters ago at the Ohio Medical Col- ! lege of Cincinnati, Ohio. There I was taught that 'Iron is a prominent element in tho phy sical organism of mankind ; without it life is an impossibility. A vast percentage of the diseases and premature deaths to whi'di the r.vce is subject, is caused, or at least made possible by a weakening of the body in con sequence of a lack of Iron in the blood.' : Having suffered from ill-health, poor diges- j tion ami urinary troubles ever since I recov- ; ered from typhoid fever, I determined to give Iron a trial. From investigation I learn ed 'hat Brown's Iron Bittrs weie the best, and that they did not blacken the teeth, so I concluded to make use of ihem. They have acted like a charm. I have never before felt so robust, hearty and strong." SPF.c tAL attention is directed to the pros" pectus ot the Pittsburg Weekly Pout for 182. to be found in another toluinn of mil paper.
