In an apoplectic" lit, no time should be
lost in pouring down Palt and water, if
efficient sensibility remain to allow of
swallowing; if nof, the head must be
fponged with coll water until the s.'nse
return, when s.l will completely, restore
the pitimt from the lethargy.
In a fit, the feet should be placed in
warm water, w'r.h mustard added ; and
t'.io hgs briskly rubbed, all bandages re
moved frjm the neck, and a cool apart
ment rocured, if possible. In many ca
ses of severe I lee ling at the lungs, and
when other remedies f.til, Dr. Hush found
two teaspoonfols of salt completely stayed
the blood.

the part with strong brine for an hour,
then bind on some salt in u rag.
In toothache, warm salt and water held
to the part aff cted, and renewed two or
ihree limes, will relieve in most cases. If
the gums be affected, wash the pums with
brine; if the teeth be covered with tartar,
wash them twice a day with salt and wa
ter. In swelled neck, watL the part with
brine, and drink it also twice a day until
cured.
