Mr. L. D. Sheldon, of Vernon, has
n cow, eight years old, which gave twelve

.ounces of milk in thirty days, during last
month. And this without a single feed
of grain for two years last past, nor was
she stabled last winter. Had been pas
tured this spring and summer with his
other stock oa the river bottom. The milk
waa weighed every three days.
Robt. Ottcrson died in Springfield,
la., recently. Ho had been insane for
thirty years, but recovered his senses on
his death bed, and conversed intelligently

week previous to his insanity, making in
quiries about a yoke of oxen which he had
