Gilbert, at this place, left on Monday for Nunda, N. Y., from there to Rochester, where she will visit her brother W, G. Gilbert and wife, after which she goes to the Adirondack mountains to complete her vacation before going back to her work at Buffalo. Miss Gilbert is a very fine lady and made many friends here. Miss Encie Howard returned ou Monday from Batavia N. Y., where she attended the wedding of a friend. While at Batavia, we understand she executed some fine stunts with her auto, only n-.eeting with one mnall mis bap, when she bumped off the road a load of hay. Miss Grace Hill, nurse in Episcopal Hospital, Philadelphia, is visiting in | Emporium, guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Strayer.
