The Sinnanmhoning Base Hall Club is
practicing every day and are doing some
good work with the stick.
Mike Sullivan has his eyes on the
weather. Jim Hatehelder is getting a
megaphone to help him root, as he is
afraid his voice might tail hin. when be
meets the champion rooter of Huntley.
Seth Nelson the champion hunter and
trapper of Clinton county was in town
this week.
George Pioutz, of Hast Grove, was a
caller this week. George gave us a few
incidents of the Civil War, also a few fish
stories.
11. M. Crum has a crew of luen anil
teams cutting and hauling logs to Surn
merson s mill in Cooks Hun this spring.
The Dagoes are getting pretty free
with their knives up the First Fork.
Harry Knsign and .John Gorecaptured
a fine mess of eels Monday at the mouth
of Pepper Hill Hun. They had come up
out of the pulp mill ooze to get a breath
of fresh water and was easy caught.
Fulton Bros., are busy at their trade
of paper hanging and painting. They
arc first-class workmen and have a fine
assortment of wall paper to sell to their
customers.
Noel and Fred Bushore,who have been
working at Ilammersley, came home last
week.

Hev. Dickson and wife, left last Satur
day for York, Pa., where he has been ap
pointed to preach this conference year.
Hazel Crosby has returned from a
short visit at Emporium.
Horn to Wm.Wheaton and wife, a son.
Joe Summerson was in town several
days last week. He has been working at
Emporium for C. B. Howard Co.
Mrs. Martha Losey has returned from
visiting her daughter, Mrs. Jno. Berfield.

Mrs. Stewart, of Westport, visited
friends in town over Sunday.
John Shafer made a trip down country
last Saturday and Sunday.
A. T. Swartwood has accepted a posi

taking his place.

fell in a vat and hurt his leg very bad
one day last week.
Ben Frances, of Hicks Run,visited his
family at this place over Sunday.
The oyster supper Friday night in the
hall by the Red Men was well attended
and all repoit a good time.
John Kraus, of this place, has just re
turned froui visiting relatives in Germany.
Mrs. Samuel Kirk, of Rockton, is the
guest of her daughter, Mrs. Fye at this
place.
A party was given at the home of
Thomas Smith Saturday evening for the
young people.
John McDonald from this place is
i siting his sister at Colorado.
Ruth Frantz is visiting her uncle,
Jake Frantz at Driftwood.
