DEATH'S*DOINGS
TANNER.
On entering the sitting room of her
home, No. 223 East Park street, Satur
day morning at 6:15 o'clock, Mrs.
Thomas J. Geary found her daughter,
Mrs. O. B. Tanner, lying on a couch
cold in death. Mrs. Tanner who re
sides at Sterling Run, and who before
her marriage was Miss Virginia Geary,
came to this city some time ago to as
sist in c.iring for her lather, who has
been ill a long time, and is in a critical
condition. She had been suffering
with organic heart trouble, and the
strain on her aggravated the malady.
She i eturned to her home for a short
time, but on learning that her father
was getting worse, she came back on
Thursday last. She was able to be
around, and to wait on her father, and
hence her death was entirely unexpect
ed and a great shock to the family and
acquaintances, for she was a most esti
mable woman and had many friends in
this city.—Lock Haven Democrat.
The remains of Mrs. Tanner were
brought to the family residence, Mason
Hill, on Monday, the funeral taking
place on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Mr.
Allen officiating. Interment at Mason
Hill. The following served as casket
bearers: Mr. W. L. Thomas, Empori
um; Messrs. John E. Smith, Lawrence
Sumtnerson, Jas. W. Mason, John W.
(lousier, Sterling Run; Thos. Marsh
Mason Hill.
Deceased is survived by the husband
and four children—three daughters
and one son—Vera E., aged 15; Geo.
G., aged 11; Queenie, aged nine and
Lillian, aged four. She is also surviv
ed by her father and mother—Mr. and
Mrs. T. J. Geary, Lock Haven—and
two brothers, Morton, of Pittsburg and
John W., of Harrisburg, and two sis
ters. She was 47 years and 23 days
old. Mrs. Tanner was a lady of sterl
ing qualities, an earnest church work
er and was loved and respected by all
who had the pleasure of her acquaint
ance. Her loss will be deeply felt by
all. The profound sympathy of the
entire community is with the bereaved
father and children.
A wife and mother, dear, has gone
Beyond death's fateful river;
To dwell in blissful peace, content,
In God's great love, forever.
Her place here never can be tilled.
But still her loved ones know,
That she will watch and pray for them,
As they labor here below.
J. F. S.
MULCAHY.
Mrs. James Mulcahy, widow of the
late Jas. Mulcahy, died on Monday,
aged about 70 years, just one week
from the time her companion went
home. The good old lady enjoyed the
respect of all. The funeral takes place
this (Thursday)morning at St. Mark's
church and is very largely attended.
A Beautiful Woman.
Her surroundings should be in har
mony, and can best be made so by a well
kept home. The L. & M., Pure Paint
makes the home beautiful. It preserves
it and prevents decay. The cost per gal
lon ready for use is only $1.20. It wears
for ten years and longer. Thirty-three
years of continuous use is evidence.

•'One Touch of Nature nakes the
Whole World Kin."
When a rooster finds a big fat worm
he calls all the hens in the farm yard to
come aud share it. A similar trait of
human nature is to be observed when a
man discovers something exceptionally
—he wants all iiis friends and neigh
bors to share the benefits of his discovery.
This is the touch of nature that makes
the whole world kin. This explains why
people who have been cured by Chamber
lain's Cough Remedy who write letters
to the manufacturers for publication, that
others similarly ailing may also use it and
obtain relief. Behind everv one of these
letters is a wajm hearted wish of the
writer to be of use to someone else. This
remedy is for sale by L. Taggart.
For Whooping Cough.
Give Chamberlain's Cough Remedy.
It will keep the cough loose, expectora
tion easy and render the fits of coughing
less frequent and less severe. It is safe

of Spirit Lake, lowa, says: "Chamber
lain's Stomach and Liver Tablets are cer
tainly the best thing on the market
for constipation." Give these tablets a
trial. You are certain to find them
agreeable and pleasant in effect. Price

A Healing Salve for Burns, Chapped
Hands and Sore Nipples.
As a healing salve for burns, sores,
sore nipples and chapped hands Cham

lays the pain of a burn almost instantly,
and unless the injury is very severe, heals
the parts without leaving a scar. Price

He Got What He Needed.
"Nine years ago it looked as if my
time had come, "says C. Farthing, of
Mill Creek, Ind. Ter. "I was so run
down that life hung on a very slender
thread. It was then my druggist recom
mended Electric Bitters. I bought a
bottle and I got what I needed—strength.
I had one foot in the i>rave, but Electric
Bitters put it baek on the turf again, and
I've been well ever since." Sold under
